1. The service
Poslyt provides restaurant point-of-sale and merchant administration software. Available features depend on the agreed plan, platform, device capability, configuration, and deployment status. A demo or marketing description does not create a commitment to a feature that is not included in a merchant agreement.
Pricing, onboarding, support scope, service periods, and any commercial commitments are set out in the applicable proposal, order, invoice, or merchant agreement.
2. Accounts, staff access, and terminals
Merchants must provide accurate account information, protect administrator credentials, control staff access and PINs, secure activated terminals, and promptly remove access that is no longer authorized. Actions performed through an authenticated account or activated terminal may be treated as authorized by the merchant unless Poslyt has been notified of a security issue.
Merchant access must not be shared across unrelated businesses or used to bypass merchant, branch, role, or terminal restrictions.
3. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with synchronization or security controls, reverse engineer restricted components except where law expressly permits it, upload malicious content, or use Poslyt in violation of applicable law.
4. Merchant data and responsibilities
Merchants retain responsibility for the business data they enter into Poslyt and for having the rights and notices needed to process staff, guest, and transaction information. Merchants are responsible for reviewing configuration, taxes, prices, receipts, reports, register balances, exports, and synchronized results for accuracy.
Offline capability reduces dependence on continuous connectivity but does not remove the merchant's responsibility to reconnect devices, review pending or rejected commands, resolve conflicts, and maintain appropriate operational procedures.
5. Payments, refunds, and hardware
Unless a separate integration is expressly agreed, Poslyt records card payment results from an external payment terminal and does not itself process, settle, or guarantee card transactions. Merchants remain responsible for their payment provider relationship and for verifying successful external payments.
Printer and device capabilities differ by platform and hardware model. Merchants must use supported equipment, maintain device permissions and network access, and test receipts, kitchen tickets, cash drawers, and other hardware before relying on them in live service.
6. Availability and changes
We work to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation unless a written merchant agreement states otherwise. Maintenance, internet service, third-party infrastructure, device failures, and events outside reasonable control can affect availability.
We may update the service to improve security, reliability, compatibility, or functionality. Material commercial changes will be handled through the applicable merchant relationship.
7. Intellectual property
Poslyt and its software, branding, interfaces, documentation, and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms grant only the limited right to use the service for the merchant's authorized business operations.
8. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended or terminated for non-payment, material breach, security risk, unlawful use, or as provided in the applicable merchant agreement. Merchants remain responsible for exporting records they are required to retain before access ends, subject to available export capabilities and applicable law.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Poslyt is provided without warranties beyond those expressly stated in a written merchant agreement. Poslyt is not responsible for decisions made solely from unverified reports, external payment-terminal failures, unsupported hardware, merchant configuration errors, or losses caused by failing to review synchronization and reconciliation states.
Any limitations or allocations of liability in an applicable merchant agreement take precedence over this general website version.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform or applicable requirements change. Continued use after an effective update is subject to the notice and agreement process required by applicable law or the merchant agreement.
